Separateness of Spectators
There is the absence of direct and real social relation via the spectacle. The anonymous spectators in LIHKG, can seek for porn videos as well as erotic photos from LIHKG forum, and share their perspectives freely without being disclosed their personal information. Spectators do not need to take responsibility for their responses. They just act like fragmentary interlocutors without real communication and dialogue with each other. They are isolated from each other via spectacle. Consequently, the social relation between spectators is separated and becomes abstract. In spite of its anonymous function, they are not interested in joining the discussion between netizens, but only being the spectators of the discussion. LIHKG is merely a platform for them to search for porn sources so as to enrich their sex knowledge and satisfy sexual desire. Therefore, they are isolated from each other without having real communication and concrete social relation via spectacle.
